ION Solar Moves Corporate Headquarters to The Shops at Riverwoods

ION Solar announced on Thursday, Aug. 3, it would move its headquarters to The Shops at Riverwoods in Provo, Utah.

Utah’s 2nd largest residential solar installer and 4th largest nationwide will take over the newly renovated, 24,000-square-foot office space.

“This location gives us the unique opportunity of being able to communicate face to face with the thousands of locals who visit the Riverwoods on an annual basis,” said Jimmy Slemboski, president of ION Solar.

“After months of searching for just the right location, this new headquarters really speaks to what ION is about. We’re sitting at the base of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains, surrounded by a passionate, outdoor-loving community, where we’re better positioned to have conversations about solar, answer questions and help homeowners save money while also working in our own way to preserve this beautiful state we live in.

”While ION currently employs about 350 people nationwide — including 100 at its corporate headquarters in Provo — the company expects to hire a few hundred more Utahns over the next several years. ION’s large install area covers Utah, California, Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.

Besides the office space, the new location will also include retail space so that homeowners can have a more conventional retail experience when switching to solar.
