SMITHVILLE, Texas, April 12th, 2019 --- Villalobos Family Receives Premium Solar System Donated By ION Solar Through ION Earth Program.

ION Solar and Austin Habitat for Humanity have joined forces through the ION Earth Program to provide a free premium solar system for Diana Villalobos.  Diana will soon be able to enjoy the comfort of a safe, stable, and sustainable home for the very first time. The new solar system will reduce the family’s carbon footprint, fight climate change, lower monthly utility bills, and increase the equity in their home. Diana Villalobos was 14 when her family relocated to the United States from Irapuato, Mexico. She loves living in the U.S. and truly appreciates the culture and people she has met since living here. Even with Diana’s stable job as a Family Advocate at Head Start in Bastro, Texas, it has been difficult for her to save money to buy a home. Helping other people is the main focus of both her personal and professional life. Through ION Earth’s partnership with Austin Habitat for Humanity, she now has her own sustainable home where her parents can safely age in peace and her Pitbull, Beguria, will have room to roam.

“It’s amazing to see people coming together just because they want to help. You don’t see that often… sometimes I can’t find the words to express everything I’m feeling. I’m just so thankful for the opportunity to make a dream come true that I didn’t think would happen,” said Diana.
